Go Bamboo specialises in the design and manufacture of biodegradable products. They believe that things that are not designed to last forever should not be made of materials that do. Makes sense, right?

The humble toothbrush is one such product that is made with the knowledge that it will only be used for 2-3 months.

So why make it from a material that will be around for an indefinite period of time?

Go Bamboo have designed a biodegradable alternative to plastic toothbrushes and after using one for the past 6 weeks, I can attest that they work just as well!

The handle is made of natural bamboo and sealed with an edible wax, so that it feels smooth in your mouth and the bristles are made from a type of nylon which breaks down in 3-4 months.

The Go Bamboo clothes pegs are not like your average wooden pegs that split and give you splinters. Go Bamboo pegs are smooth and, unlike wooden pegs they contain very few tannins, which means they won’t stain your light-coloured clothes.

It's a small thing that set of 20 pegs, but it can make a big impact. My resolution for September is to correctly recycle the plastic pegs I have (before they break and end up in the garbage bin or in the gutter) and fill my peg basket with these babies. It really does feel good to line-dry cloth nappies using clothes pegs that I know won't be around long after I'm gone.
