What's in a Bib?

I really don’t get excited about brands or products. I like to have the absolute essentials and I just like stuff that works. But even as a wanna-be minimalist parent, there are some must-haves. Bibs – I believe – fall into this category. Bibs we own. And lots of them.

With 4 children bestowing on me the title of mum, we’ve enjoyed our fair share of spew and dribble, but being money-conscious, I’ve never gone for the higher quality, slightly more expensive bibs.

My youngest has (thankfully!) just phased out of the spew-the-entire-feed-after-every-feed stage and entered the drool-cause-I-can stage. The new Close bibs landed on our doorstep just in time for some rigorous testing!

For teething babies and those who generally dribble a lot, I can’t recommend the Close bibs highly enough. Not only do they keep my baby’s chin dry, they also keep the moisture off his chest. When the top side is saturated, I can whip it off, wipe his mouth with the soft fleecy side and grab another one.

The larger size works a treat on our toddler who has almost perfected the fine art of self-feeding.

One of the perks of distributing the Close range is that we get to try everything before it hits the shelves. I’d heard a lot about these fabulous bibs before they reached us, but have never been too excited about them. A bib is just a bib, right? Definitely not. These new bibs have forced me to rethink that idea!

  1. To be fair, your bibs are a little bit higher priced than other brands but id pay it every time.. your are the only bibs that dont have to be washed half a dozen time in allsorts of things to get the stains out, in fact they wash so well Im planning on putting my newborn bibs away for if i decide to have another baby! there arent many bibs that you can do that with!
