  1. WHY I LOVE TEAL...
When I think of the colour teal the first things that come to mind are Calm, Beautiful, Nourishing and Natural; all of which are the very essence of the Close Baby Carrier and baby wearing. From a fashion point of view, the colour Teal is a nice balance of masculinity and femininity; which encourages dads to baby wear too; and we as parents all know how difficult that can be. It is a gender neutral colour and I would be more than happy to wear either my son or daughter in it. I also love the fact there are butterflies on one side of the carrier which add a very feminine touch; however the fact that it can be worn without the butterflies showing makes it even more enticing for dads.

WHY I WANT TO WIN A CLOSE BABY CARRIER...
As an avid baby/ toddler wearer I would love to win a Close baby carrier so I can continue to wear my darling daughter for longer. I currently have a sling, which does its job. However it is becoming increasingly uncomfortable for me and my daughter as she grows and gets heavier. I am aware of the importance of baby/toddler wearing and the benefits associated and want to continue to do this and winning the teal Close Baby Carrier will enable me to do so. I would also like to baby wear with my future children and LOVE the fact that this carrier is so versatile that it can be used from birth through to toddler years.

  2. Why I love the teal/butterflies carrier? Well because:
I love flowers and summer showers and spring.
I love sunshine and blue skies and kids on swings.
I love butterflies and the way they make me feel.
But most of all I love the colour teal.

Why do I want to win a Close Baby Carrier?
With my now toddler I missed out on carrying her as I listened to all the nay sayers about the evils of baby carrying. I am due next year and really want to revel in the joy and snuggliness of baby wearing with a Close baby Carrier.

  4. Why I love the Teal - I really love the teal colour because its nice and dark, and reminds me of the colour I had for my bridesmaids. a very oceany, outdoorsy colour and I love the outdoors. Also this colour would be perfect for my husband to use, its not too girly. :-)

Why I want to win a close baby carrier.
I love being able to carry my baby close, and while I have a mei tai, this carrier holds the baby closer and more snuggly.

  5. Why I love teal... My premmie baby boy Oscar has gorgeous red hair that would look fabulous against the back drop of a teal carrier, and the best thing is its a colour my amazing husband isn't likely to wear so I can stop worrying about him stealing it from me!!

Why a close carrier... They look so incredibly comfortable for both parent and baby, and so user friendly. I like the idea of having my little man close to my heart all the time.

  6. Why do i love teal, this colour reminds me of my boys, the beach, freash air, all the beautiful things in life. I also think it would look great on me hehe oh and daddy he loves carrying our bubs as well.
Why i would like to win the carrier, i have never used a proper carrier like this just a sling and one from Kmart and i cant figure out how to get them comfy in them so i just gave up my 4 mth old has decided for some reason he doesnt like the pram any more which before he really loved i think he is starting the clingy stage and i cant push a double pram, carry him and shop etc at the same time so if i could use the carrier and have my 19mth old in the stroller we would actually be able to go out for longer than half an hour. Besides who wouldnt want to carry their bubba nice and close to them knowing that they are super comfortable and happy being close to mummy and dadda :-)

  7. WHY I LOVE TEAL -
It's a beautiful, calm colour for bubs, and is very complementary to both myself and my partner (who is the fashion savvy one of the relationship!). It's a colour that can suit all occasions.

WHY I WOULD LOVE TO WIN -

SO my SUPER SENSITIVE SON can SEE the SPLENDID SCENERY in front of him!

I love using a carrier with my 4 month old. But I don't have one in which he can face outwards and see the rest of the world in front of him. He has super sensitive skin, so that fact that this is 100% organic soft cotton jersey is absolutely fantastic!!!!

I was actually wondering only a month ago whether anyone makes a 100% cotton carrier in which bubs can face outwards. I was starting to get desperate and think of how to make one, until I discovered the Close Baby Carrier!

I would love the teal because it's a colour my partner could wear as well, it's a beautiful clean neutral colour. We love the colours blue and green in this house- most of my daughter's clothes are green or blue. I love the butterflies... the whole carrier speaks of joy, closeness and freedom- teal is a colour that is cooling and loving.

I would love to win because I can't justify buying another carrier, even one I've been keen to try since I heard about them, especially because I'd love a carrier where bub could face out.

  9. Why I Love Teal:
This has to be the most beautiful colour! Vibrant, calm, oceanic, it just reminds me of relaxing warm days on the beach, frolicking in the frothy sea foam.
It represents the pure tranquility you feel when carrying your child, an overwhelming love.
The butterflies add a whimsical and feminine touch, perfect for the stylish mum (and bub!).
Turn the band around and it is unisex, so hubby would not have an issue wearing it, not to mention its his all time favourite colour!
Its a real statement colour, and would be sure to draw all eyes and not to mention compliments!
Why I would love to win!
We recently bought our first close baby carrier in the rouge, and I could not love it more!
I had bought a baby bjorn - not what I wanted but hubby thought it was a really good "man" carrier, but I have never regretted a purchase more! As soon as I had the money, I bought the close baby carrier, and I am not sorry to say that the baby bjorn has not resurfaced yet! We are trying to another bubs, and hubby won't let me sell the baby bjorn because we will need 2 carriers. I would love another Close baby carrier for the new bubs, as I can't fathom putting a newborn in such a rigid, unnatural and "cold" carrier.
I wrote this about my daughter while wearing her in the close baby carrier:
I have never felt such a fullness of love as when you are here, on my heart, the rising and falling of your chest on mine. I wrap my arms around you, hear your sleepy snoring sounds muffled by my skin, and I love the closeness of you. My heart swells with pure joy that you are here, in my arms, wrapped tightly around me, my heart beating into your ear. I could stay like this forever.

  10. Why I love the Teal:

Everyone loves a bit of colour and the teal is just gorgeous. It's dark enough that Dad will wear it without complaining and the butterflies make it pretty and give it that summery feel for Mum.

    Why I want to win:

I am a big fan of baby wearing. With my son I first tried a sling (which did not work for us), then a Baby Elite and we now have a Moby Wrap. I love the Moby Wrap and the fact that the baby is worn so close to you but it can be a bit of a mission to put on. I have been looking at the Close Baby Carriers for quite a while as they look to be super simple to put on and extra comfy for both parent and baby. My husband won't use the Moby (I think the amount of fabric scares him) but I'm sure I could convince him to use this one. There is no way we can afford to buy a new baby carrier so I would love to win one. I know Oz Baby Trends only stock quality products (I love their nappies) so I know this carrier will be awesome.

    Thank you
    Sally Evans
